What is the World Rescue Challenge (WRC)?

 

WRC is a platform for rescue and medical personnel around the world to share and advance rescue science and technology.

WRC sees world class rescue and trauma teams compete annually in an event designed to challenge emergency service personnel by developing and enhancing their existing skills and to help raise awareness of the global problem of road death and injury.

Over fifty international teams participate in the challenge each year, which covers two challenge disciplines, Extrication and Trauma.

Vision: to provide a platform for rescue personnel throughout the world to share and advance rescue science and technology and to develop and enhance proficiency in general rescue techniques, vehicle rescue, incident command and pre-hospital care.

To promote injury prevention, through education and awareness, within all groups at risk from unintentional injury.
